Well done to all those brave runners that faced ridiculous temperatures to run London!
Lorna Adamson has kindly put together a few words about her marathon experience:
After years of procrastinating, I finally ran the London Marathon this year. It was my first (and probably only) marathon so I was not sure what to expect. It was a brilliant day and a real privilege to take part in such an iconic event but it was really, really tough. For anyone contemplating their first marathon, the most important thing I learnt was to train with other marathon runners. The club enveloped me in a warm blanket of support and without the help of Brian and Marcia, I would not have got through those long training runs in the sleet and snow. I did say never again, but have found myself googling the Derry marathon, my home town, so we’ll see….
