So you want to join us for a run?

If you feel a bit unsure about the thought of joining a running club, if you have never been a member of one before, you shouldn’t do as we have members with a wide range of ability, age and commitment. Whatever your standard of fitness, you’ll be more than welcome. You are sure to find someone in the club who is about the same standard as you. And if you are a complete beginner, we occasionally have a beginners groups aimed at building confidence and providing motivation to get you started. Contact us if you’re interested in being added to our list.

Our club is open to anyone over the age of 15 for the adult sessions.

The club has a good mixture of members and has a great social community & relaxed atmosphere feel to it.

Membership Fees

These membership rates are valid from 1st January 2021

  • Senior Membership is £20 per year, payable from 1st January each year. A reduced membership fee of £10 is available to those joining on or after 1 July each year.

Trial Membership

The best way to find out if you want to join us is to sign up for a trial membership (no obligation to join) and come along to a convenient club run. Please note you must have your trial membership confirmed before you sign up to a run. See our training timetable for details of our regular training sessions.

We  would recommend that all new club members attend a Tuesday intervals session first. This will give you chance to speak to one of the coaches about which group you should sign up with for the longer runs.

Booking Training Runs

All training runs needs to be booked via our club App. As a guide, these are the approximate running paces for each group:

Fast – 7 to 9 min miles

Medium – 8.30 to 11 min miles

Steady – 11 to 14 min miles

Much will depend on the terrain, as to the pace of the group. You can message a group leader to check if the group is right for you. This can be done through the App.

Please make yourself known to your group leader if you are new and if you have any concerns about the group they will be able to help you.

If your health changes so that you then answer "yes" to any of the above questions, tell your fitness professional and ask whether you should change your physical activity plan. Likewise please tell your fitness professional, about any answers you have answered "Yes" to and what your Doctor recommended, so we can accommodate your needs.
