Dogs at Club Runs Policy

Cotswold Allrunners club is for runners. Dogs may accompany their owners on daylight club
runs (not interval sessions) as long as the following rules are complied with.

1. A dog owner must ask the leader of the planned run at least 3 days in advance, if the
   leader is willing to accept a dog. The leader’s decision is final.
2. Dogs and their owners run at their own risk and must, therefore, be fully insured.
3. Dogs must be attached to their owner by either (a) a hand held, short lead or (b) a
   canicross approved harness.
4. Any dog on an Allrunners run must:
   a. already be experienced in running with a lead or harness
   b. be able to navigate stiles and other obstacles
   c. be able to run the planned distance with ease
   d. not be in heat
5. Dog owners should respect and give space to other runners, members of the public,
   and other dogs.

To be reviewed annually unless an earlier review is needed.
