Returning to Running – Next Stage COVID update May 2021

The club committee met on 28 April and made some decisions that will help make our sessions feel more like a return to normal.

From 10 May:

  • Intervals are starting again: first session, Tuesday 11 May.  You’ll need to book using the MyRunningClub App.  Meet at 6:30 pm on the tarmac outside the Museum in Stratford Park.  Nikki will coordinate sessions for the fast group, Val will coordinate sessions for the steady and medium groups.  Outline intervals schedules will be on the website.
  • Maximum group size for all our runs is being increased to 11+ Leader.  Individual leaders may reduce the size of their group if they wish.  You’ll need to book using the App. 
  • We can use any path or trail on our runs.  PLEASE remember that some members of the public may feel intimidated when meeting large groups.  Please be quick to give way.
  • Saturday runs: if a Leader wishes to lead a run on a Saturday, they can do so, as long as they give Anne-Marie at least 7 days’ notice, to give her time to put it on the App.  Leaders will state the start time, estimated finish time, start place, estimated pace and maximum group number.  Runners just need to book a place as normal.
